Hello Friends & Happy Tuesday!
As I mentioned last week, I was up in wine country this weekend for a few days. Basically a little stop on our way to Montana! My Dad and I are planning on beginning the 16 hour trek to Bozeman tomorrow morning. The key word here is planning, HA. Growing up, we would be the family that always planned to leave at 9am but actually didn’t get out the door until 11…. Was anyone else’s family this way?? Haha, it’s honestly become like an ongoing joke in our family that we take forever to get out of the door when we’re all together! So, we will see how it goes! The drive to Montana is around 16 hours, so we will spend one night in a hotel in Nevada.
I’m honestly very unsure about the kinds of food that are going to be available in the middle of nowhere (don’t think there will be tons of gluten free options) so I’m running around like a crazy person today trying to get work done, packed, and food prepared incase the only option is a taco bell burrito.
Before I get too far into my food packing list, I wanted to tell you about this weekend spent at home with my family in wine country. Since making the jump to full time blogging, I’ve been so happy that I am able to work from anywhere! This “anywhere” definitely includes working from my parent’s house and coming home to visit them or housesit for them when they’re out of town. It’s been amazing to see them more often because they are some of my favorite people ever.
That being said, this weekend we spent time at the winery sipping rosé, listening to live music (my grandpa’s band was playing on Saturday, yes you heard me right– my Grandpa is in a band haha), eating meals on the porch, and catching up.
On Sunday, my friend Michelle, her husband, & two friends came to the winery to taste for the first time!! It was so much fun to get to spend time with them and also to have my parents there with us because they are so knowledgable about all things wine. We sipped white wine and jammed to the jazz music in the sun. It truly felt like a perfect summer day!
It was literally SO crazy hot for Sonoma County!! We couldn’t get over how crazy warm it was because it’s usually 85 and breezy here. I stayed cool though, in my favorite pair of overalls that are a staple in my closet for cute weekend looks. They are under $30 and go so well with a tank or printed t-shirt! I wore them again recently, on the 4th of July.
I also had on my sunnies from Diff Eyewear that I love! They go with pretty much anything and are the cutest color. If you are on the market for a high quality pair of sunglasses under $90, you can use code “TAYLORLOVE” for 25% off a pair.
The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with my godparents who were in town, shopping around Healdsburg, and really soaking in the family time. Few things make me happier than having time with my family! They are so important to me and I can’t wait to live closer to them.
Wish us luck on the road trip!! (; CAN’T wait to share my findings in Bozeman, MT. with all of you!
Much love to you!
