Silk Pillowcase linked here!
Hello Beautiful!
Ok so I’m going to cut right to the chase. Have YOU heard about the skincare benefits of sleeping on a silk pillowcase? If you typically read my blog, you know I’m a certified #skincarefanatic. I’m all about sunscreen, non-toxic skincare, ice rolling, jade rolling, prevention, etc. Basically, I give my skin as much goodness as I can on a daily basis. Also, I’m all about ballin’ on a budget!! I do invest in skincare but will hands down purchase a new product/ device/ gadget if it’s budget friendly. SO, today I want to introduce you to my trusty Amazon.com silk pillowcase.
First of all, did you know that sleeping at night (if you’re sleeping on your side) is actually aging for the skin. SAY WHAT?!!? Of course, I love to sleep on my side… UGH! Are you a side sleeper? I feel like it’s really the most comfy way to sleep and is a surprisingly hard habit to change.
I recently heard about the trusty benefits of sleeping with a silk pillowcase and instantly knew I needed to add one to my cart. I also found this one for under $20 and was sold.
OK, so let’s get into the benefits of sleeping on a silk pillowcase:
-
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase can help prevent wrinkles! Silk helps skin keep it’s moisture and is more gentle than other fabrics. I’ve noticed that I wake up with less pillowcase lines on the face when using a silk case and that’s because the fabric is again, more gentle. It doesn’t feel so harsh on skin and is something your skin will thank you for!
-
Sleeping on silk helps to lower your chemical intake because silk is an all natural substance made from silk worms.
-
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase can help reduce redness and inflammation. I’ve noticed this one big time, actually! Waking up with less inflamed skin is always a plus in my book!
-
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase can prevent acne bacteria from spreading as much during the night.
-
Similar to the skincare benefits that silk has, it’s also better for your hair! Using a silk pillowcase can help prevent split ends and hair damage because of the gentle texture. It also helps to keep bedhead and tangles under control because it lessens static!
Are any of you already using a silk pillowcase?? If so, what do you think so far! I’ve been loving it and don’t think I will switch back anytime soon!
Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you’re having a lovely week so far!
Talk to you soon! X
