It’s no secret that I’m fan of collagen. If you’ve been reading Love Inside & Out for a while now, you know that my love for collagen runs DEEP! Collagen is something I’ve consistently used for years now and is one of those wellness “trends” that’s absolutely here to stay.
From benefits like improved digestion to glowing skin, the day is not quite right if I don’t have collagen in my body! It’s also one of those simple wellness habits that’s super EASY to add into a routine. Today I want to introduce you to the secret to my morning coffee, my trusty Collagen Creamer from Vital Proteins. This stuff came out about 8 months ago and legitimately right from the get-go, I was hooked.
Typically, the absolute first thing I think about in the morning is how I can get my cup of coffee in my veins as soon as possible, HA. I wake up, pour myself a cup, grab my Collagen Coffee Creamer/ frother situation, & head to the couch for my morning routine. My favorite thing about the Collagen Coffee Creamer is that it’s killing about 172310 birds with one stone. It creates the yummiest creamy coconut flavor in my coffee, gives me all the benefits I need from my daily collagen, & only takes a minute or so to create the effect of a latte! It’s absolutely my favorite way to start the day.
Did you guys know that many almond milks and traditional coffee creamers actually have tons of nasty crap in them? Especially the ones that are labeled “sugar free” and have that extra sweet and artificial taste in them. I challenge you to see what it feels like to not be putting those chemicals into your beautiful body first thing in the morning, to replace those things with this creamer! It has five ingredients verses the ten plus that are in most artificial creamers. NO thank you, chemicals!
I’ve most recently been using the Coconut Collagen Creamer flavor, but also love the Vanilla and Gingerbread flavors. I’m crazy and will even bring the stuff with me when I travel and am out getting coffee a lot!
Another benefit I love from Collagen Creamer is that I’m giving my body protein first thing in the morning. I find that it helps to balance out the crazy “jittery” feeling of having too much coffee, when you add in some collagen and maybe a bit of healthy fat! It’s also important to pay attention to what kind of coffee beans you’re purchasing and always make sure to purchase coffee that’s “upgraded” meaning that it comes from an organic source of high quality beans. Lower quality coffee, like many of the chain coffee shops, sell coffee that was MOLDY at one point!! SO YUCK! This is something that also contributes to the weird coffee crashes that can happen. The more you know, right!?
