We just got home from a trip back to Nashville, TN for the week and I’m missing it already! Nashville is always such a happy nostalgic place for me as it’s where I went to college and really the first place I lived “on my own.” It is where Dylan and I started dating, where my first solo studio apartment was, and where I truly feel like I learned to be self-sufficient and pursue my passions! It is also such a vibrant and special city with tons of opportunity that still has a very down-to-earth feel. It really is something special! I wanted to round up all my favorite places to eat, stay, and shop / visit for your next trip to Nashville. If you haven’t been in the last few years, it has changed SO much and there is so much happening!!
We Stayed:
The Thompson Hotel- We stayed here the first few nights in the Gulch and LOVED it!! I would highlight recommend the Gulch and staying in this area. The Thompson was 10/10 for the vibes, rooftop bar, and walking location. It is also a lot safer than downtown.
The Fairlane Hotel- We stayed here the second half of the trip. We really liked it for a totally different vibe than the Gulch, because downtown is a lot more of a city vibe! This is walking distance to all the honkey tonks and broadway, etc. The rooftop has a pink secret bar that you can see photos of above. It is PERFECT for a Bachelorette party!
The W Nashville- We went to the W on our last day in Nashville for a pool day and stayed at the pool rooftop all day.
Soho House Nashville- We did not stay here during our trip BUT I really want to become a member and had to put it on this list because I think it’s so damn cool. It’s essentially a members club for creatives where you can go work, stay, drink by the pool, etc.
We Ate:
Milk & Honey- this breakfast was insanely good, and it’s a perfect location if you are staying in the gulch! We went here every morning when we stayed at the Thompson hotel.
Biscuit Love- very southern vibe and super fun for a Nashville trip.
Frothy Monkey (12th South Area)- cutie little coffee shop/ place to get breakfast or lunch!
Bartaco- the BEST TACOS EVER!! Right on 12th south which is my favorite area of town. Go here for dinner with friends and you will not be disappointed!
Virago- upscale sushi with a great vibe for people watching.
Adele’s – highly recommend for dinner!
Turnip Truck- really cute grocery store in the gulch to grab snacks or a to-go meal! I used to go here all the time in college.
We Shopped:
Flower Truck- I don’t know the name of this adorable flower truck but it’s on 12th South and is SO CUTE!!! Great for photos and picking up a cute bouquet.
12th South- Loveshack Fancy (truthfully the cutest store of all time), Outdoor Voices, & a few more but you just have to go walk around this area and get coffee, etc!
The Gulch- Kittenish, Vici Dolls, Uncommon James, Lululemon and so many more shops! This is the perfect place to walk around, have lunch, shop, etc.
Some other really great areas for shopping are Green Hills mall, (this is a super nice mall with lots of luxury faves and stores along with Nordstrom) & Franklin has ADORABLE shopping and is really worth a whole day trip.
Let me know if you try any of these recs and what you think!!
