It’s been a minute, or at least it feels that way! This weekend, I took a full on three-day social media detox/ break. Three days might not sound like very long, but when social media and being connected online is such a big part of your life and job, three days feels like a long time! At least it feels that way for me & my control loving self, ha. In case you’re new here and are wondering wtf I mean by a social media “break,” you can check out the post I’ve done on it here. Long story short, I highly recommend a good ol’ social media break every once in a while. Whenever I start to feel like my brain is moving in 2983249387 different directions, I know it’s time for a social detox. The concept of a social media detox can also very much apply to using your cell phone or computer. For some of us, it’s texting or emails that can become a big burden. Whatever that thing is for you that can sometimes become too much of a good thing, I challenge you to step away from it sometimes. It’s really hard to do (at least for me) but I promise it is very beneficial!

Today happens to be part two of the Valentine’s Day outfits I’ll be sharing on the blog! By now, you probably know that I am in love with feminine style which always includes anything that has a ruffle sleeve. I love purchasing pieces that have a statement sleeve because I find that I feel just a little bit more “put together” when I’m wearing them. I was doing a bit of shopping in Nordstrom gathering some of my favorite picks for the month of LOVE and instantly knew I needed to bring home this pink satin blouse. If you’re looking for a way to spice up your spring wardrobe, I highly recommend adding in a few statement sleeve pieces like this blouse. It’s hard to try one on and not instantly feel an extra burst of confidence and femininity!

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I wanted to share the first round of a few posts including Valentine’s Day style. Are you someone who loves Valentine’s Day? Honestly, every year I’m a biiiig fan!! Even when I was single, I would always take FULL advantage and plan fully pink/red outfits, get together with girlfriends for Galentines parties, and of course sip rosé! As cheesy as it sounds, I really love any excuse to celebrate my loved ones and show them just how much I care! Dylan and I aren’t huge on big elaborate Valentine’s Day gifts, mainly because we always have just come off of Christmas, my birthday, and then his birthday. All that gift giving definitely ads up, ha. By the time Valentine’s Day rolls around, we usually like to keep it simple and just have a really nice dinner together. I do looooove me some red roses for Valentine’s Day, tho. (; EHEM hint hint Dylan if you’re reading this!!
I am a big believer in celebrating the little moments in life and making holidays that can easily be forgotten (like Valentine’s Day) more special! To me this means, treat yourself to a new dress, paint your nails a pretty pink hue, and buy your man or loved one something little yet special that will make their day. Every single year on Valentine’s Day, my Mom used to wake us up to a pink, yes PINK themed breakfast. She would put food coloring in our milk and oatmeal and make the whole thing baby pink! I truly think this is where I got my love for making each little holiday special.

I feel like Valentine’s Day is the first time we can really start our spring shopping so I will definitely be wearing this dress again.
