Hello Loves!
Happy Friday!! I hope you had a wonderful week. Cheers to the weekend! I was traveling all week to The Cactus Moon Retreat and got back late last night so today actually feels like a Wednesday for me. I feel like I need to work all weekend to catch up from being away from my desk and am TRYING not to feel guilty for being away… Ehem ** practice what I preach kind of thing. (;
Coming to the blog early next week will be a full recap of the decor at the incredible Air B&B we stayed at. I couldn’t take enough photos the entire trip to capture the beauty of the place, but trust me I tried. So, interior design lovers– stay tuned for that!!
Today’s post is featuring this multi stripe dress and this gold choker necklace I recently got from Le Tote along with these adorable glasses from Forever 21! (They are under $8).
I was excited because I matched my FAVORITE room at The Cactus Moon Retreat… Ha! We took these photos on the second day of the trip, but each day felt like 4 days in one because we did so much!! We didn’t want to miss out on a single opportunity and were running around like crazy ladies trying to capture every moment. It was a blast to get to know the girls I was traveling with on a deeper level and to really connect away from our normal busy lives. It was also incredibly refreshing to be away from my email for a few days! I still was “working” here and there, but from my phone mainly.
The time out in the desert had me thinking about a few things & I wanted to share those with you guys–
- TRAVEL OFTEN! Man, it really does make me feel alive. Being out OOO for a few days and away from my normal routine felt so incredible. I am currently praying about ways I can travel much much more throughout this upcoming year. Even day trips to areas around where I live! I can be a home body for sure but also always want to be planning my next adventure.
- Connecting with likeminded humans is good for the soul! Over the last few years, I’ve grown to see that the early years of our twenties can be challenging on friendships. I believe this is a time when we are really becoming who were “meant” to be. That being said, I’ve drifted apart from some people who used to be in my life. For this reason, it was so wonderful to spend quality time with Katie & Arielle this week. They both filled my soul up very much and I was so thankful to The Cactus Moon Retreat for bringing us together. I think women supporting other women as strong and empowered beings is SO important.
- Yoga brings me closer to God & back to clarity! The last morning of our trip, we woke up early to watch the sunrise. If you know me, you know that I am NOT a morning person. However, I decided to let Katie & Arielle talk me into getting up to watch sunrise. I was SO glad I did!! While I don’t think I’ll be doing it very often– it was awesome to do something I wouldn’t normally do. Then, I had an entire HOUR to practice yoga in the on site yoga studio!! That was one of my favorite hours of the whole trip. I prayed, meditated, and vinyasa flowed my way to bliss. 🙂
I hope you guys have a restful weekend! I’m going to be laying low this weekend, spending time with Dylan and Murphy (my pup), and probably catching up on computer work.
So much love to you for reading this post and blog!! I am so overjoyed that you guys are actually reading these posts. I would love to know what you want to see more of, so feel free to let me know in the comments below or shoot me an email. I’m an open book! 🙂
A huge thank you to the folks at Cactus Moon Retreat for having us! <3
