My Look: romper | shoes | sunnies
Hi Friends!
Happy Day-After-Labor Day!
I hope you were able to enjoy some rest and relaxation this weekend!! Dylan and I ventured down to San Diego to explore a long list of places we have been wanting to visit together, including the beautiful hotel in these photos, La Valencia. We haven’t gotten a chance to do a weekend getaway together in a while, so it was a blessing to do so. We packed up the car on Friday night and made the two hour trek down to beautiful SD. I know I constantly say this, but I could really see us living down there. It’s another one of those places where we notice we feel like our best selves. I always think it’s so interesting to tune in and notice how you feel in a certain place. San Diego gives us all the happy feels!
We got to spend some time with Dylan’s family who lives there, sip lots of coffee, walk on the beach, and escape a bit of the heat that’s been surrounding Orange County. (IT’S BEEN INSANE).
Honestly, the highlight of the weekend was visiting La Valencia hotel. The entire hotel looks like it’s in Portugal and feels like you’ve stepped into an old movie. The classic elegance can be felt everywhere from the stunning pools, colorful stairs, to quaint jazz that plays throughout the place.
romper, shoes, sunnies
Dylan mentioned that right when we walked into the hotel, my entire face lit up!! If you are in San Diego or SoCal, I highly recommend visiting La Valencia for cocktail hour, dinner, or a weekend stay.
My outfit in these photos, is this adorable two-piece suit that is around $20 dollars!! It’s from a really fun website, called Shein.com where many of the pieces are extremely affordable. I love to switch up my closet with lots of feminine prints and patterns so this site is a wonderful place to do that for a great price. If you order a two-piece from the site, I recommend sizing up because they run a bit small. However, they’re really comfortable and pretty good quality for the price!! My shoes are my FAVORITE everyday slides. You will probably continue to see them very often. (; I tend to keep it simple with shoes and accessories, so I love a comfortable everyday sandal that’s also really cute.
I hope you enjoy these photos from La Valencia as much as I enjoyed taking them! It’s exciting when I have an idea in my head and am able to see it come to life in photographs. This is one of my favorite things about blogging. 🙂
Love ya and talk to you soon!
