Happy Thursday! Doesn’t it just feel like summer is in FULL swing these days?? Something about the week after the 4th always has me feeling the happy summer energy! On Monday night we went to listen to some live music with friends and I think that’s what really kicked off this “summer” feeling.

While we’re talking about summertime, let’s talk skincare. As you might know by now, skincare is one of my absolute favorite things to talk about and share. When I find a few product or method and fall in love with it, I MUST SHARE IT. I’ve honestly been this way since I was little! I remember being in 6th grade and talking to my best friend about acne and what we should be using for washing our faces.

One of the biggest skincare “trends” in the summertime is having that “glowing” skin that we all desire. As you might also know, I am a Beautycounter Consultant which basically means I get to share my obsession with #nontoxic skincare, personal care, and beauty with my friends, family, and my beautiful readers! A little over a month ago, Beautycounter came out with a product called the “Overnight Resurfacing Peel“ and I AM HOOKED ON IT. After reading hundreds and hundreds of positive (5-star) reviews, I started using the peel at nighttime a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with what it’s done for my skin. It’s been the most recent addition to my skincare routine, that I take very seriously.

Once about 7 years ago, I got a chemical peel on my face. I had NO idea that I would be peeling for an entire week like a damn lizard. It was then that I vowed not to do that again. Chemical peels can be super intense, let alone can have synthetic fragrances, PEGs, and formaldehyde-based preservatives. No thanks! The amazing thing about this “Overnight Resurfacing Peel” is that it creates that fresh skin over time without being so harsh and damaging. I’ve been using it every night after putting on my serum. It’s awesome and gentle enough to use nightly!

The biggest change I’ve noticed in my skin since adding in this peel is that it has this glow to it, more than usual. It’s also more plump, supple, and my acne scarring has faded. I also notice that if I do have a pimple (thx to that time of the month) the peel helps to fade the spot faster than normal. It’s a pretty incredible product and I am thankful to have found it! It gets the job done but is also gentle and free of chemicals that we really should avoid putting on our faces and bodies.
