Hi Loves!
A little over a month ago, I made the decision to begin to transition into the realm of non-toxic beauty. This is something that has quickly become a HUGE passion of mine. I became a Beautycounter consultant, & haven’t really looked back. In case you missed my first post, I talked about why I’m choosing safer beauty products with Beautycounter here. To sum it up, after learning about the very harmful/ dangerous chemicals that are in our personal care products, it became something I couldn’t turn a blind eye to anymore. I said yes to having a girlfriend send me some Beautycounter skincare products and have been HOOKED ever since. Let me start by saying that I really l loved my skincare routine prior to Beautycounter. I had used my former line of products for over a year but decided that I should keep an open mind to trying Beautycounter because of the whole non-toxic thing. I had tried non-toxic products in the past that were frankly very disappointing so I wasn’t expecting much from the Beautycounter skincare lines. I tend to be super skeptical when trying new skincare/ beauty products because I try a lot that doesn’t agree with my super sensitive skin. Upon that first night trying some items from the Beautycounter line, I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed!!
As I’ve been sharing the products over on Instagram Stories, I’ve been getting questions about exactly which products I’m using/ loving/ recommend/ can’t live without. Well, today I’m going to tell you! Let me start by saying that I have combination and acne prone skin. I used to have very bad acne but now my skin is mostly clear with the occasional breakout. My main skincare goals are brightening, evening skin tone, and anti-aging. I also focus on anti-acne when I have a pimple or breakout! My skin tends to go through a lot of hormonal changes throughout the month as my hormone levels go up and down. Let me also say that I take skincare pretty seriously. (; Skincare is always a priority for me! While I might not spend money on a designer handbag, I will spend it on my skincare. We only get ONE set of skin in our lives and my mission is to keep mine as healthy and balanced as possible. I also think good skincare (like the Beautycounter products) are incredible because they have the power to dramatically improve the appearance of skin.

Now that we’re clear about how #skincareobsessed I am, let’s talk about my current Beautycounter skincare routine. This routine includes quite a few products which, like I said above, were an investment but so worth it in my book. Especially because the results have been great for my skincare goals. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about any of these products, or other Beautycounter essentials. If you do decide to try some Beautycounter skincare (or other products), I recommend becoming a Band of Beauty Member. What this means is basically that you pay $29 one time, receive a free gift (RIGHT NOW IT’S THE CHARCOAL MASK which is usually over $45), and then get free shipping and product credit with every purchase. It’s the way to go to save money. You can become a Band of Beauty member here.
I’m going to get into descriptions of the products below but overall have been using the entire Rejuvenating Line (the anti-aging line) while also incorporating the Charcoal Bar/ Mask (anti-acne) when I need it, and a few other products.

Before I get into my personal thoughts on the products, here’s what the main line I’m using, The Rejuvenating Line, does. “Rejuvenating Face Cleanser removes makeup and other impurities while moisturizing, Rejuvenating Toner Pads tone skin and minimize the appearance of pores, Rejuvenating Radiance Serum improves hydration and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, Rejuvenating Day Cream softens and soothes while increasing elasticity, Rejuvenating Night Cream locks in moisture while you sleep, and Rejuvenating Eye Cream reduces puffiness and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and dark circles.”
Now, here’s the lowdown on my must-have Beautycounter skincare products!
If you struggle with acne OR the occasional breakout/ pimple, this is for you. I have used other Charcoal products in the past and this one is hands down the best I’ve tried. I heard my blogger friend Christina RAVE about it for about a year on her blog and wish I tried it way sooner. It balances skin without over-drying. It’s magical and a best seller for a reason.
This baby is definitely my favorite mask from Beautycounter. I was telling a friend the other day I wish I could literally hand out Charcoal Bars and Masks to anyone messaging me telling me they struggle with acne. The results from this mask are so great for healing breakouts and calming the skin that you will be hooked from the very first use. I’ve been using it post- workout about two times per week. It deeply cleans pores and literally pulls out any “gunk” that’s hiding within the skin. It especially great for those pesky blackheads around the nose and chin area.
This is my anti- aging cleanser and I LOVE it. Its offers a very gentle but effective cleanse and a little goes a long way. All of the Rejuvenating products have the most beautiful/ natural fruit scent. They smell so amazing and feel very luxurious on the skin without being too “heavy” or clogging pores. This cleanser has green tea extract and antioxidants that gently brighten and tighten the skin.
This is my go-to anti-aging serum that I use after cleansing. Again, I love the way it calms and brightens up the skin. It’s jam packed with Vitamin C which is the best ingredient for brightening and anti-aging. It’s luxurious, has the same fruit scent, and is very light. It fills in pores and lines to create a perfectly prepped face!
This day cream is super light which is very hard to find for an anti-aging moisturizer! It goes on evenly under makeup and doesn’t make my makeup look all separated like other day creams I’ve tried. It won’t make you breakout because of how lightweight it is.
My new favorite nighttime moisturizer for when my skin needs a little something extra in the PM! This has been GREAT for nighttime living back in an area with actual cold nights/ winter weather. When I apply this in the evening, I instantly feel like it’s plumped my skin. I also notice that I wake up with noticeably hydrated and evened skin tone. It literally feels so good on your skin you will want to take a bath in it!!
I LOVE this eye cream. I don’t think I’ve ever liked an eye cream so much. I notice right away that my dark circles have gotten better and that the tiny fine-lines around my eyes are much less noticeable. While it is pricy, a little bit of this stuff goes a really long way and that’s using it twice per day.
These pads are comparable to a resurfacing pad that work to even skin tone. I use them nightly before my serum! They come in a convenient pad form which is nice to make sure you aren’t using too much product. I always make sure to use my toner all the way down my neck and on my hands, to really get the most out of the pad.
Are you after that dewy glow? If so, this oil is for you. I have been mixing it with some of the rejuvenating serum for under my makeup or even as a moisturizer at night time. You’ve probably noticed by now that I like to switch up my products and view my skincare routine as a “mix and match” outline to cater to my skin’s needs on any given day. I highly recommend this Plumping Oil either on it’s own or mixed in with your serum or moisturizer. The argan oil in it helps fight lines while the jasmine oil moisturizes.
If I do have a breakout, this is the serum I use. The whole point of the Countermatch line is to “give skin what it needs and nothing that it doesn’t.” This serum is great for someone who has acne or acne scarring. It has hyaluronic acid which is one of the best ingredients for brightening and plumping. I’ve heard from various doctors that hyaluronic acid is one of the most important parts of a skincare routine.
Countermatch Adaptive Moisturizer
Similar to the serum above, this is the moisturizer from the Countermatch line. It is completely fragrance free and is best for someone who struggles with acne or the occasional breakout. When I’m breaking out, this is what I use to moisturize. If you are thinking about getting the Charcoal products, I recommend this moisturizer and the above serum to compliment them in an anti-acne regimen.
Okay, WHEW, that was a lot but I hope it was helpful!! I am so thankful to have found Beautycounter, not only because the products are incredible, but also because the mission of the company is one that I so align with and believe in. The founder and CEO of the company is actually in D.C. this week lobbying to invoke governmental change and get the beauty laws updated in the U.S! Hopefully soon we will have more than 30 chemicals banned from our personal care products…

Becoming a Beautycounter consultant has been a very natural addition to this blog because it’s basically just sharing products I truly believe in and making recommendations to other women within the realm of skincare/ makeup/ & clean beauty.
There are other Beautycounter products that I highly recommend and am frankly so obsessed with, but will save those for another post so this doesn’t get too long.
Question for you guys: do you have any non-toxic beauty brands that are your absolute favorites I need to know about?? DM me or let me know below!!

So I have the rejuvenating serum, the toner pads, the rejuvenating night cream, and the overnight resurfacing peel.. in what order do I use these products after I cleanse my face?
Thanks,
Sunny
Hi Sunny! 🙂
Wash your face, use the toner pads, then the serum, then the moisturizer, and finally the peel! <3
