Hi Loves!
As you know, I’ve been up in Northern California for the last few weeks and as I mentioned before, it’s been such a refreshing break from my usual life in OC! Healdsburg is such a quaint little town, it’s basically the opposite of Orange County, ha! I love them both but for completely different reasons!
Having grown up in Healdsburg and having lived here until I was 18 years old, I’ve always LOVED getting to play “tourist” for the day when I can. The town of Healdsburg and Sonoma County in general, has so many amazing restaurants, shops, and spas. The other day, I had the pleasure of visiting the Spa Hotel Healdsburg for their “meyer lemon farm to spa pedicure” and was blown away by the decadence of the treatment. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a relaxing and rejuvenating pedicure!
I arrived at the spa on Tuesday afternoon and was (as I always am) instantly calmed by the serene and beautiful grounds that make up Hotel Healdsburg. As soon as you enter the spa, you know that the stresses of everyday life are about to melt away. Lucy Delagnes, the staff member I received my treatment from, went out of her way to make sure that my time to relax and unwind with my treatment was as perfect as possible. She greeted me with a huge smile and a glass of chilled “meyer lemon green tea” as she led me to the room where I would receive my pedicure. I have to say, I’ve never had the pleasure of having a pedicure (or spa treatment) with such a lovely view before!! The pedicure chair and room that you can see in these photos looks out to a beautiful little court yard covered in lush greenery. It was SO stunning and such a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life!!
One of my favorite parts about the experience was how much care Lucy took to make sure I had the best and most relaxing time possible. You know the feeling of being in a normal nail salon where they rush you and barely rub your feet/ legs….?? This was the opposite of that! My sore yogi feet were in absolute heaven!
After the combination of the lemon scrub and massage, I was basically asleep in the chair. I am also hugely obsessed with anything lemon scented, so the fact that my toes smelled like lemons the rest of the afternoon was the cherry on top! All of those yoga calluses were scrubbed to perfection.
All in all, the experience was definitely the best pedicure I’ve ever had. I might just have to come back over summer to experience their upcoming seasonal lavender pedicure! I’m getting relaxed just thinking about it! 🙂
It’s also RIGHT up my ally that all the ingredients the spa uses for their treatments are organically grown and locally sourced. Very cool!
