Hi Loves!
Happy Thursday! Man, has this week been flying by for anyone else? We returned home from our anniversary weekend getaway really late on Sunday night & I kind of feel like I’ve been playing catch up ever since then! I am such a big fan of having Sundays to get organized and ready for the week ahead, but also will happily skip my low-key Sunday for a day of exploring with Dylan. This is exactly what happened on this day.
After spending the weekend in La Jolla (blog post coming soon), we knew we wanted to take our time and leisurely make our way back to Orange County. One of our favorite places to stop on the way back home is the town of Encinitas! If you love the beach, small towns, & healthy food (aka all my favorite things), you will love Encinitas. We ate at a restaurant called Goodonya which had some of the best “health” food I’ve had in a while. This is saying a lot because you know I’m constantly on the hunt for my next healthy fix. The true test is the fact that Dylan loved the restaurant too!
All in all, the day was a great one. You know when you have a new outfit on and it makes you feel put together and extra confident? This is how I was feeling in my look from Velvet Heart, that I’m wearing in these photos. I am so in love with this eyelit tie front top. It’s flirty while also being put together. I pared it with these jeans that are SO incredibly comfortable! It’s been a while since I’ve worn a pair of jeans that isn’t high waisted so I was a little nervous about picking a pair that wasn’t. However, I absolutely love the fit of these jeans. They hit the waist in just the right place and also stay in place. They have the perfect amount of stretch and are going to be a staple in my closet for the seasons to come. I love that they have the raw cut hem which is so in style right now! It’s rare that I love the first pair of jeans I try on, so I was pleasantly surprised when this happened with this pair.
