My Look: Shorts, Top, Sunnies, Sandals
Hey Friends!
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend!!
This weekend was a super relaxing one, which is always nice & needed after a long week. On Saturday, Dylan & I headed out sailing with my family on the San Francisco Bay and had such a lovely time!! Sailing is something that my family has done since I was super little (you would think I would be better at it by now, lol) and this was the first time we’ve gone in a while! The rest of the weekend we hung out with Murphy, grocery shopped, hit the gym, went to church, the usual stuff. Whatever you did this weekend, I hope it was a good one!
Today’s post was shot at the beautiful Dry Creek General Store. Speaking of things I’ve done since I was little, coming to the general store is definitely one of them! If you’re a Sonoma County local & are looking for an adorable place to have lunch during a wine tasting weekend, you must visit the general store. It’s too cute and has the best darn deviled eggs, EVER!
On a totally different note, can we take a moment to talk about how challenging it is to find FLATTERING jean shorts….??? WTF, I mean they are either so high waisted that they give the worst of uncomfortable weggies or cute but $200 dollars… I can not handle spending $200 on a pair of shorts. A few weeks ago I was shopping with my Mom and she told me it was time to upgrade my denim shorts. I was wearing a pair that was a few years old and she proceeded to tell me they really weren’t the best look and weren’t very flattering! They were the kind that had a few too many holes, rips, and were a tad saggy in the butt. Not my best look, haha. Gotta love my Mom for telling me the truth!!
Anyway, I started scouring the internet for a new pair of denim shorts. I knew I wanted them to be under $100 and also more of a “mature” pair of denim shorts. Ha, if denim shorts can even be “mature,” but you know what I mean?? I ended up ordering a bunch of different pairs only to come across this pair that I really love. They’re flattering, dark wash, and don’t give you the saggy butt look. Oh and they are under $70, which is great in my book! Shop them here if you’re on the market for a good pair of denim shorts for summer!
I am also wearing this adorable Β MadewellΒ tank for just under $50. I have been loving the color yellow this season! It seems to be everywhere and is a color I wouldn’t normally choose. However, I’ve been finding that it’s quite hard to not be happy while wearing the color yellow! Have you noticed that? Definitely a bonus. π
Talk to you soon!
