My Look: Yellow Dress, Bag (Similar), Sandals
Stepping out of my comfort zone is something I find very important. From planning a trip somewhere new, to styling an outfit that’s a little different than usual, my goal is to never become stagnant. If there’s anything I’ve learned the last few years, it’s that life it too darn short not to be BOLD. You know??
I also think it’s important to point out that being bold doesn’t have to mean the same thing for everyone. Being bold doesn’t need to involve huge life changes. It can be as simple as making the commitment to not feel bad for spending that extra hour per day doing something you love. It can be spending the money to invest in some new skincare products, taking the weekend off, getting back into yoga, & it’s personal to each and every one of us.
It might sound silly, but deciding to wear this yellow crochet dress is actually stepping out of my comfort zone! Usually my style tends to be a little more modern, but I have to say I absolutely love the romantic feel of this dress. It is incredibly comfortable, flattering in the right areas, and makes me feel like I should be strolling through the rose gardens or something of the sorts! It’s called the “lazy weekend” dress, which pretty much sums up my approach to style on a daily basis. I love to be put together, without having to spend too much time styling an outfit.
If you’re wanting to branch out in some way, I challenge you to take a step in boldness this week! It can be spicing up that wardrobe with a piece you wouldn’t normally wear (like this classic yellow dress for $69) while forgetting what other’s might think of it, committing to work on your side-hustle or passion project, calling up that friend you’ve been missing, getting back to church, etc. Whatever it is, life to too short not to do it!
How will you step out in boldness this week?
I just filmed a video for Instagram all about the meaning and the “why” behind my blog! This was something I wanted to do for a while and is another way I’m trying to “step out. ” Find it here.
Love you all!!
